The first project i chose for myself last year was the olive. Symbol of peace, hope, healing and mercy, I can’t help but think that there was more to my choice than chance. I’ve done a number of these plates now, partly because I love having a ‘quick-complete’ project between longer ones that take time and energy. But also because the message is all the more poignant as time goes by. If you could glaze and fire a prayer then this would be mine for this year.. ‘Esenlik Olsun’ or ‘Let there be peace’.
