I recently had a minibreak with my sister in Budapest. Whilst taking a tour around the magnificent and impressive parliament building, I snapped a photo of some of the squares of stained glass in the stunning windows. When I came back without a souvenir (I’d chosen hand luggage only to save expense…) I decided to make my own from the photo using çini. Admittedly, probably due the the biscuit being more like porcelain than çini, the colours emerged from the kiln in a fashion rather different to what I’d imagined. Nevertheless, I think this will remain one of my favourites with a fantastic weekend to remind me of! Thanks sis!
