My family visit the Workshop

posted in: Art, My Story | 2

This year we enjoyed a somewhat traditional English Christmas with my family in Turkey, albeit with a few Turkish twists thrown in. One of the highlights was that my family could come and visit Poppy’s workshop with me for the first time. Not only were they treated to a history of the artform from some of the best practitioners I know, but in true Turkish hospitality Poppy served them Turkish coffee with lokum (Turkish delight – the REAL stuff!). One of my favourite things about being an artist is the community of friends, enthusiasts and experts you become a part of. What could be better than sharing your heart and creative inspiration over a Türk Kahvesi (Turkish coffee) with friends…? Ahhhhh!
